Church To Arise (Daily Devotional)
Hello everyone, we continue to speak about some of the prayers that we can pray for the church. Today, we will look at a passage from Isaiah chapter 60, it is an oft repeated passage quite loved by many people. Isaiah chapter 60, verses 1 to 3, ‘Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.’ Here is God calling His people to arise and shine because He has positioned us with His grace, with His love, with His empowering. Today, as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are that longing bride that looks forward to the return of our Lord Jesus and we position ourselves in a place of worship and adoration but at the same time, we see that God calls us to represent Him in this world. So, there is a need for us to awaken to the things that need to be done in the world right now. The Spirit of God over the years has been working and has been awakening communities of believers to move in what He is pouring out. Even today, it is so important for us to awaken to the things that the Spirit of God will be leading is to do. So, here is the call, on one hand, we are that adoring church where we are waiting in the presence of the Lord, we are longing for Him and there is a need for us to be in that place of intimacy with the Lord. Intimacy with the Lord doesn’t mean that we are not a church that needs to go out. So, there is the coming in to His presence but there is also the going out that needs to be done. So, as the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, we must arise to what the Spirit of God is calling us to do in our times. So, one of the prayers that we can pray for the church body is that we may awaken and be sensitive to the voice of God and what He is saying to us in our times that we may understand what the Lord is pouring upon us and that we may also take our place. God has called each one of us on various mountains and He has given us our assignments. May we pray that all of us will take our position and be excellent in what God has called us to do and bring glory and honor to His name. Today, more than ever before there is an incredible need to engage society and the Lord Jesus calls all believers. We know that all believers are called to serve the Lord in the speres that He has placed them. May we pray that as believers we will engage various aspects of society, make a meaningful impact and leave behind a legacy for the world to see in the name of Jesus. Let’s be that church that arises and shines for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the mandate that you have given us to live a life for the glory of your name. We pray that you will help us discern our position, take our position and be an example in that area, in that field and may the name of our Lord Jesus be exalted, may it be magnified, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. Rapture Ready? (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and thank you so much for being with us this week, where we spent time talking about the rapture of the church and we referenced few passages that are speaking to us about the truth that we the church will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet, we will receive our glorified bodies, our bodies will be made like His own and we will meet Him in the air and forever be with the Lord. The question we need to ask ourselves, are we living lives that are rapture ready? The apostle John wrote in 1 John chapter 3, verses 1 to 3, ‘Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.’ John tells us that the time is coming when He will be revealed and we are going to see Him. Can you imagine, your eyes are going to see Jesus! Your eyes are going to see the Son of the living God! It says, our eyes will see Him and, in that moment, we will be like Him, our bodies will be changed and we will see Him as He is. What a moment it is going to be when you see Him in all His beauty, glory, grandeur. So, John says, look, if we have this hope in our hearts that one day when He is revealed, our eyes will see the glory of this risen King and that we will be like Him. If we have this hope, then here is one thing we are going to be doing, we are going to be purifying ourselves because He is pure. Notice the tense, it is a present continuous, that means it is a constant thing we engage in to purify ourselves, keeping our mind, hearts, bodies, lives sanctified, set apart, holy, consecrated, dedicated to Him, living pleasing to Him, living aligned to His will, we are purifying ourselves because we are going to see Him, that is the anticipation and expectation and John says that is how we are supposed to live. So, are you ready? Keep living rapture ready. Keep purifying yourself even as He is pure because when He is revealed, we are going to see Him as He is. We are looking forward and getting ready for that moment. Let’s pray, Father, we invite the work of the Holy Spirit to help us live lives that are rapture ready. We purify ourselves even as He is pure, knowing that when He is revealed, we will see Jesus as He is, help us, in Jesus’s name, Amen. Noah Entered The Ark (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and thank you so much for the opportunity to come to you today and spend a few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about the rapture of the church and we are looking at different passages that affirm to us that the rapture of the church will indeed take place, the church will be taken out of the way to bring to an end the church age as we refer to it and then begins the 7 years of tribulation that Daniel wrote about which is referred to as Daniel’s 70th week or the time of Jacob’s trouble. The church is taken out of the way. One more piece of evidence to show us that the rapture of the church will take place before the 7 years of tribulation. In Mathew chapter 24, as Jesus was giving His disciples insight/ signs about the end times, He mentions this in verses 36 to 42, ‘But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.’ This typology used from the Old Testament, Jesus pointing to something in the Old Testament to illustrate to us how these events will come together. He says, as Noah stepped into the ark, taken out into a place of safety and then judgement was poured out on the earth, He says, that is how things are going to wrap up in the end. This is a great picture of the church, being taken out into a place of safety, while judgement is being poured out on the earth for those 7 years and then once that is over, as Noah came out of the ark, back on earth, the church will be brought back with Christ (Revelation chapter 20) to establish His kingdom, rule and reign on the earth (Daniel chapter 7). So, this is a perfect picture/ illustration of the rapture of the church, the church taken out of the way and judgement poured out on the earth. When that is over, we come back on the earth to rule and reign to establish the purposes of God on the earth. We ae looking forward for that moment when the rapture of the church takes place and God brings everything, the church age and things to a close shortly thereafter. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for all that you’ve planned and all that you have revealed to us so we can prepare ourselves, realize, recognize the signs of the times, keep busy doing the Father’s will and be ready for the coming of our Lord, help us to do that, in Jesus’s name, Amen. Taken Out Of The Way (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and thank you once again for the opportunity to come to you and spend these few moments with you in the word and prayer. This week, we are talking about the rapture of the church and looking at various passages that tell us the church will be taken out of the way before the seven years of tribulation. The Lord will come for us, His church. We are going to look at 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, verses 1 through 8, remember the apostle Paul he writes 1 and 2 Thessalonians and one of the things written in both these epistles is the coming of the Lord, the rapture of the church, why the Lord will come and some of the things that will happen in connection to that. In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, the apostle Paul writes this, ‘Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him(that is the rapture of the church which he described in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, repeated that in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5), we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come (don’t think it is over, it is out in the future). Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first (there is going to be a lot of people walking away from the faith), and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition (the book of Revelation refers to him as the antichrist), who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God (this is what Daniel refers to as the abomination of desolation, Daniel chapter 7,8 and 9). Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.’ He says there is one thing that is holding back the manifestation of this man of perdition, the antichrist, verse 7, ‘For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.’ Verses 7 and 8 give us the secret, only the one who restrains is now holding/ restraining the antichrist from being revealed and when he is taken out of the way, then the lawless one will be manifested. So, the big question is who is this ‘he’? There are two options to consider, either the Holy Spirit or the church. The church can be referenced with the male pronoun because it is the body of Christ. What we see in the book of Revelation is that the Holy Spriit is still functioning here on earth, so the ‘he’ that is referred to here in 1 Thessalonians chapter 2, verse 7 could only be the church which is in line with what Paul has already described. So, when the church is taken out of the way, then the man of sin is revealed. The Holy Spirit continues to operate here on earth anointing the people who are being saved, so the work of the Holy Spirit continues here on earth but the church is taken out of the way. So, another fruit for us that the rapture of the church will take place before the tribulation/ man of sin is revealed. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for all the insights you have given to us in the word. Thank you for that moment, our gathering together with the Lord in the air. Thank you for the work you have given us to do, to finish now before that moment comes, help us to be faithful and do it, in Jesus’s name, Amen. Kept From Judgment (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and it is our joy once again to come to you this week, as we spend time looking at the scriptures concerning the rapture of the church. We had read earlier from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 13 through 18, where the apostle Paul had described exactly how the Lord will come to take His church, take the people away. Right after he describes that, he continues writing and remember when the apostle wrote, he wasn’t writing in chapter and verse, he was writing a continuous sequence of thought. So, right after he describes the rapture of the church, he writes this in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verses 1 on, ‘But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.    For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.    For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.’ Then he says this in verse 9, ‘For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.’ This is right in connection with what he has described in the rapture of the church, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 13 to 18, that those who have fallen asleep and those who are alive are all going to meet Him in the air and in verses 9 and 10 of chapter 5, he tells us clearly why God is going to do this. He says, ‘For God did not appoint us to wrath’, the word wrath is another way of saying judgement. So, For God did not appoint us to judgement, but He has appointed us to experience this salvation, so whether we are alive or dead, we are going to be together with Him. So, what is the purpose of the rapture of the church? It is to take us out of the way, so that we, the people of God are not going to go through the wrath/ judgement- the seven years of tribulation. So, people ask, how do you know the rapture of the church will take place before the tribulation? Well, he tells us right here in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verses 9 and 10 so that we don’t have to go through the wrath/ judgement, but whether we are alive or dead, we are going to be alive with the Lord in the air. Here is such convincing evidence that we the church are going to be kept from the judgement- the 7 years of tribulation that will come upon the earth which is described for us in Revelation chapter 6 through 19. We are not going to be there; we will be taken out of the way. What an exciting time looking forward to it! Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your goodness and mercy, that you’ve not appointed us for judgement but experience salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ and we look forward for this great rapture of the church to meet you in the air, in Jesus’s name, Amen. I Will Come And Receive You (Daily Devotional)

I Will Come And Receive You (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and it is our delight to come to you today, spend this time in God’s word and prayer. We are talking about the rapture of the church and today, we are going to read John chapter 14, verses 1 to 3, the Lord Jesus during His time here on earth with His disciples, He gave them these words, He said, ‘Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.    And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.’ Jesus is telling us about things that He is going to do. He has gone to heaven, what is He doing for us right now? He is preparing a pace for us and Jesus said, I will come again and I will receive you to myself so that where I am, there you maybe also. In connection with this, the apostle Paul has given us additional insight that we saw earlier in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and 1 Corinthians chapter 15 of how the church will be raptured or caught up to meet the Lord, the Lord coming to receive us and we will meet Him in the air and He says, ‘so shall we be forever with the Lord’. We cannot confuse this with what we read in Revelation chapter 19 because in Revelation chapter 19, the coming of the Lord is very different. There He comes riding on a white horse, with His sword ready to execute vengeance and He speaks the word to destroy the armies that have come against Israel and He is coming in a way to the final battle Armegaddeon, that is Revelation chapter 19. But the coming of the Lord described here in John chapter 14, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and 1 Corinthians chapter 15 is so different, He is coming to get us to take us to be with Him, ‘so shall we be ever with the Lord so where I am you may be there also’. That’s why we see these two comings as very distinct, one we call it as the secret coming, the rapture of the church and Revelation chapter 19 is the coming for the battle of Armageddon, the second coming for Him to set up His Kingdom here on earth. In the Revelation chapter 19 coming, the saints come with Him and we are going to be landing here one earth because we are going to rule and reign with Him, Revelation chapter 20, verse 4. In this coming, He is coming to get us into heaven so He can fulfill what He said in John chapter 14, to take us into the mansions He has prepared for us in heavens so that where He is we can be with Him there as well. So, we are looking forward to Jesus fulfilling this and being with Him in that glorious place in heaven. Let’s pray, Lord, we thank you for your kindness and goodness towards us, that you would prepare a place for us, that you will welcome us to dwell with you that where you are, we also would be there with you. Thank you for your mercies and your goodness, in Jesus’s name, Amen. The Last Trumpet (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and thank you so much for the opportunity to come to you today and spend these few moments from God’s word and prayer. We are talking about the rapture of the church this week and yesterday, we considered what the apostle Paul had described for us in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 13 to 18. There is a parallel passage in scripture in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verses 51 to 58, where again the apostle Paul described what will happen when the Lord comes for His church, ‘Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So, when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?’ We see in these two passages, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 which we read yesterday and in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 which we read today where he talks about the trumpet sounding. These trumpets must not be confused with the seven trumpet judgements that we read about in the book of Revelation chapter 16 onwards, those are the final set of judgements to be poured out on the earth. But these two trumpets in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and 1 Corinthains chapter 15, verse 52 are two different trumpets which have to do with the coming of the Lord for the church. When we understand how trumpets are used in the bible especially in the Old Testament, we see that trumpets were used to announce something significant happening, the gathering/ assembling of God’s people and the trumpet was also used to mobilize people into action, that’s how we see the trumpet being used in the Old Testament. Here, in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 16, as the Lord is about to descend, there is the voice of an archangel and the trumpet sounding announcing that the Lord is going to come and then there is a last trumpet. We ask, why is it the last trumpet? Because it is the sounding announcing the end of the church age. The sound of the last trumpet, believers are going to be instantly changed, they are going to receive glorified bodies and it is the culmination of everything God has been doing. Saints are going to receive their glorified bodies and assembled mid air to meet the Lord. At the sound of the last trumpet, there is a gathering together of saints, saints receiving glorified bodies to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we be forever with the Lord. May our hearts be open and alert, awaiting the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for things you have revealed to us in scripture. We ask that you will help us live lives totally committed and ready and awaiting the coming of the Lord, in Jesus’s name, Amen. Simul Rapiemur (Daily Devotional)

Simul Rapiemur (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and it is our joy to be able to come to you this week. This week, we are going to spend some time talking about the rapture of the church. I hope you are excited about looking into the scriptures in this topic. From time to time, we like to revisit what the scriptures teach us about the end times and especially about the rapture of the church, look at the scriptures and remind ourselves of what the bible says. Some of these things may seem almost incredible but this is what we are looking forward to, it is the word of God and we know it is going to happen. We are going to read from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 13 to 18, the apostle Paul writes here, ‘But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.    For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.’ There is always a debate going on whether the rapture is in the bible or not. Of course, we understand that the word rapture itself is not in the English text but we get it from the Latin version of the bible. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 17 uses the word, ‘simul rapiemur’. It is from these two words that we get the English word rapture. Simul rapietur simply means simultaneously together or to be raptured together. Is the idea of rapture being caught up together with the Lord in the air in the bible? Absolutely, right here, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 17, apostle Paul tells us that in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, the body of believers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and that is what we mean by the rapture of the church. If somebody says rapture is not in the bible, they are wrong, it is in the bible, just that the word comes from the Latin version of the bible but the idea is right here in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. So, the apostle Paul in telling us what is going to happen says, a time will come where there will be the sound of the trumpeter, the voice of an archangel and the Lord will descend. Many refer to this as the secret coming of the Lord because not every eye is going to see Him in this coming. He is going to come, He is not going to come on the earth, He is going to be up mid air and He is going to bring with Him those who have already died in Jesus, those Old Testament saints and all other believers who have already fallen asleep. In the middle of the air, in the twinkling of an eye, they will receive glorified bodies and at that same instant, those of us believers who are alive on the earth, in an instant our bodies will be changed into glorified bodies and we will meet the Lord in the air and there will be this great assembly of saints with glorified bodies meeting the Lord in the air and from then on, we will be with Him forever and ever, this is what we call as the rapture of the church. With this, the church age comes to a close which we call as a dispensation. This time period referred to as the church age comes to an end, the church is raptured and taken with the Lord to be with Him in heaven. We are going to have glorified bodies just like the body of Jesus. We will delve more into this, this week. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for all the glorified things that you have planned ahead for us, what eyes have not seen, what ears have not heard, what man has not even imagined, such things you have prepared for us who love you and we ask that you will help us stay ready for your coming, in Jesus’s name, Amen. Pursue Healing (Daily Devotional)

Pursue Healing (Daily Devotional)
Hello everyone, we continue to meditate on the subject of healing. We’ve talked about the fact that we as believers are in a covenant with God, that healing is the children’s bread which has been readily offered to us. So, we can press in, ask God, believe Him and receive it into our lives. Today, I just want to encourage us, it maybe possible that some of us are holding onto God, believing and trusting God for healing to manifest, whether it is in our bodies or minds and sometimes as we read the way Jesus ministered, healing used to happen instantaneously, but then there are times when we need to press in for a while before we see healing. Then of course, there are times when healing happens continuously in small improvements. However, the thing that is required of us is to stay on course, continue to trust God, till we see the healing made manifest. Let’s not get discouraged if we have not yet experienced the kind of healing, we’ve been asking God for. The bible also tells us that we receive from God not only healing but anything through faith. We need to build our faith in order to receive from God. To build our faith, one must mediate in the word of God because faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. The word of God is the source that is going to increase our faith. When we look at Proverbs chapter 4, verses 20 to 22, it encourages us to keep the word of God in the midst of our heart, to pay full attention to the word of God because it says that the word of God is life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. As we deposit the word of God into our hearts, one of the things that will happen is the life of God will be released even to our flesh because through the word we get life and we also receive health to all our flesh, this is in Proverbs chapter 4, verses 20 through 22. We are aware that the word of God is living and powerful, Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12 tells us that God’s word is an active agent, it is not inert. Whenever we engage in the word of God, something that begins to happen is that the power of the word begins to work in the heart of the person who believes. As we meditate on God’s word and testimonies in the word of God where people were healed and delivered, what begins to happens is that the word gets into us and releases health to our flesh and begins to rise our faith level. As our faith rises up, we look at what Jesus said, ‘if you have faith, you can move mountains.’ If you have faith, then things are done in the kingdom of God. As we receive faith in our hearts for healing, we will see the improvements start showing up, we will see different things taking place in our health, we can glorify, honor and thank God and all this will take place because of the deposit of God’s word. I also want to remind us as we look at Psalm chapter 107, verse 20, it says, ‘He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.’ The way God chooses to deliver us is by sending His word. Let’s hold on to the word of God. I encourage us to search the scriptures, enlist some passages on healing, meditate on it daily, speak it, declare it and pray it through and surely life and healing will be made manifest in our bodies. Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you for your powerful word in our lives. Even as we take time to meditate on your word, I pray let the power of the word, let it breakthrough every weakness, every discomfort, every abnormality in the name of Jesus and let the power of God be very real and demonstrated. We speak health and wholeness over each one listening, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. Children’s Bread (Daily Devotional)

Children’s Bread (Daily Devotional)
Hello everyone, thank you for joining in. We continue on the theme of healing. Today, we will to talk about healing as the children’s bread. We have a reference to healing as the children’s bread in Mathew chapter 15, verses 21 to 28, it is the incident when the lady who is not part of the covenant or not a Jewess who comes to Jesus and her daughter is afflicted severely by a demon spirit. She reaches out to Jesus and makes a request for the deliverance of her daughter. Jesus, we know Him as this compassionate person, however, in this situation, He is quite stern and He reveals to her that He has only come for the sheep of the house of Israel. He says something like, the bread cannot be given to the dogs but what He was trying to tell her and what she actually understood in those times, I’m sure she got it right away what Jesus was trying to tell her. Basically, what Jesus was saying is, here is a lady who is in need but she is outside of the covenant so, even if Jesus wanted to, it was difficult for Him to release that healing/ deliverance she was looking for. However, look at the faith of this lady, in verse 27 of Mathew chapter 15, she says, ‘And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”’ She extends her faith to Jesus and says, this children’s bread which you are talking about, who are the children? The Jews or the people of the covenant are the ones who have this bread which is healing but this woman extends her faith and says, Lord, even the dogs have the crumbs and then Jesus goes on to commend her faith and says, ‘O woman, great is your faith.’ Then there is a release of the power and her daughter is delivered. The point that we gain out of this incident is that when we are in the covenant, Jesus said, that healing is the children’s bread. We know that earlier, those who were the seed of Abraham were part of the covenant. However, now, each one of us who believe, we are part of the better covenant that Jesus has accomplished for us. Now that we as believers are part of the covenant, the children’s bread belongs to us. We are the children and the bread that Jesus talked about was healing and deliverance or the power of God to set us free, bring wholeness to every part of our being. I just want to encourage us that the power of God is available for us to receive by faith. All we have to do is to press in by faith just the way this lady, she didn’t let go off Jesus but she extended/ demonstrated her faith by what she said and Jesus was so pleased with her and said, great is your faith and you will receive the deliverance and her daughter was healed. Even as we extend our faith right now, I believe that God’s power is being released into each one of our bodies and souls. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that the children’s bread is ours. We claim it in the name of Jesus and thank you that we are children of the covenant and that healing will be made manifest in our bodies. We give you thanks and praise, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. Covenant (Daily Devotional)
14-02-2024
Covenant (Daily Devotional)
Welcome everyone, it is a great joy to connect with you once again. We will continue to talk about healing and today, I want to dwell on the subject of covenant. When we study covenants in the bible, we see that they are solemn promises, it is a binding oath, an agreement between two parties and a covenant is so much greater than our understanding of what a promise is these days. In bible times, we see that covenants were made through blood as Leviticus chapter 17, verse 11 revels to us and God gave a name of Himself which is a covenant name or He promised to offer Himself to us through a covenant name known as Jehovah Rapha. When He spoke of Himself as Jehovah Rapha, what God was actually saying was that I make a solemn promise, a binding oath, I have an agreement with you that I am the one who heals you, your body and soul, who brings healing and shalom to every part of your being. Through the covenant, what God has actually done is that He has offered all of Himself to us. So, as believers, when we look at a covenant that God has given us, we know that we can receive of Him through that covenant. As we consider Him as our healer, we can go to God in faith and receive healing for every part of our being. God made a covenant of healing with us and with Abraham. Many years later, when the Lord Jesus was walking the earth and serving in the ministry which was given to Him, we find that He looked at a certain woman in Luke chapter 13 and He called her the daughter of Abraham. In Luke chapter 13, verses 10 through 17, we see a woman who was bound with a spirit of infirmity, she was bound up, she was bent over and for 18 long years, she suffered by the affliction of these demon spirits. But when the Lord Jesus met her, one of the things that He called her is the daughter of Abraham and in verse 16 He made a statement, ‘So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?’ What Jesus was saying is, the covenant is still valid and on the basis of the covenant, this Jewish woman who was part of the Abrahamic covenant, satan had no right to put sickness on her body and Jesus was coming against that. Today, for us friends, as we know that the Lord Jesus has already come, He has become our redemption for us and as we study the book of Hebrews, we have a better covenant through Him, even as compared to the Abrahamic covenant, we have a better covenant, we have better promises and so when satan wants to put sickness and disease on our lives, we can resist it and say, we have a covenant with God, God has spoken and said, He is Jehovah Rapha, my healer and so we choose to walk in health and declare that we are whole and well. Even as we continue to press in, I believe that we will begin to experience the manifestation of healing. Just hold on, pursue, trust in the Lord and keep going. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love and goodness, that you made yourself available in wholeness to us. Even as you have released your healing to us, I pray in Jesus’s name, that bodies, minds, emotions will be touched and let wholeness and health be each one’s portion, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. The Blood Of Jesus (Daily Devotional)
13-02-2024
The Blood Of Jesus (Daily Devotional)
Hello friends, once again, such a pleasure to connect with you and continue to learn about healing and what the word of God has to tell us. Today, I want to remind us of the work of the blood of Jesus. Jesus has become our redemption price and He shed His precious blood for us. Scriptures tell us that through the blood of Jesus, our redemption was bought for us. Colossians chapter 1, verses 13 through 14, it says, ‘He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.’ The blood of Jesus has accomplished many things for us. One of the things that we want to talk about today is the fact that it has bought our redemption and it is beautiful to see how God decided/ chose to send His only Son to shed His blood. In the book of Hebrews, we learn that God didn’t pick bulls and claves and other sacrifices, instead He sent His only beloved Son who came to make that final sacrifice for us and He shed His blood and His blood now has bought our redemption. When we talk about redemption, it is an emphasis that now we belong to our master, the Lord Jesus Christ. Everything that is a part of us is legally now in the kingdom of light which is why we can stand against the works of the evil one when he wants to put sickness on our bodies, or afflict our souls/ minds/ emotions; God wants shalom for the whole person as we study in Isaiah chapter 53, verses 4 and 5. So, we can speak shalom over our whole person because the blood of Jesus has redeemed us. How do we apply the blood of Jesus and this redemptive work of the blood upon our lives? In Revelation chapter 12, verse 11, we see that they overcame him, the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony and they didn’t love their lives to death. There is an overcoming through the blood of the lamb. This overcoming is by us proclaiming what the blood of Jesus has done for us. When I want to apply the blood over my life and declare the power of the blood over my life, I need to speak of what the blood has done for me. When I pray for my healing, I could say, my body is healed because the blood of Jesus has redeemed me, satan you have no right over my life because the blood of Jesus has redeemed me, every part of me belongs to Jesus and I thrive in health, I have divine health. We can speak and make all these declarations and talk about what the blood of Jesus has actually done for us. When we talk about it, believe it and speak about it, we will see the manifestation of health and healing being restored to us. I just want to encourage us friends, know that you are bought by the blood of Jesus, redeemed by the blood of Jesus and because you are now the Lord’s, you have divine health and healing. Let’s stand against any form of affliction that the enemy wants to put on us and let’s continue to declare that we are victorious and overcomers. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the redemptive work of the blood. Thank you for the blood which forgives us, cleanses us and speaks of us belonging to you. Even as we meditate on the work of the blood and declare it, we know that the enemy is defeated and we just claim that victory over each one of us and our health, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. Redeemed (Daily Devotional)
12-02-2024
Redeemed (Daily Devotional)
Hello everyone, such a joy to meditate in God’s word and we are on the theme of healing. We talked about the fact that because of the great exchange that Jesus has accomplished, you and I can walk in divine health. We also saw that Jesus has conquered on the cross of Calvary and satan is defeated and thereby, we can receive our healing and walk in it. Today, I want to remind us that we are redeemed. When we study about this word redeemed, we understand that redeemed was used in circumstances when a slave was set free by the payment of a price known as a ransom. When we consider the work of Jesus, we know that He became our redemption lamb, that atonement lamb for us. We were the ones who needed to be punished, afflicted in every sense because of sin here in the world, but God sent His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus in our place, He took our punishment, every affliction that was due to us so that we could be set free. In this manner, God has accomplished a redemption for us. We, who believe in the Lord Jesus, scriptures tell us that now we are redeemed. Once someone was redeemed or a slave was redeemed, the slave would now belong to another master and everything that the slave had would belong to that other master. So, similarly, we as believers, now belong to the kingdom of light and of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now, that we belong the Lord Jesus, everything that we have and are belongs to Him. In 1 Corinthains chapter 6, verses 19 and 20, Paul wrote these lines, he said, ‘Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.’ He was reminding God’s people that they were purchased and now they belonged to a different master who is the Lord Jesus. He was also reminding the believers that they now are the host or their bodies are the host to the presence of the Holy spirit and that is the privilege we have. As children of God, we are now part of God’s kingdom; we belong to Him and everything that we have belongs to God and our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Having said these things, it is very clear that satan has no legal right over a believer, their body, soul or their possessions; everything is redeemed through the work of the cross. I just want to encourage us that we must stand against every demonic assignment/ work and refuse what the enemy wants to put on us and we can make this declaration that we now belong to Jesus and we are redeemed and part of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus and thereby sickness has no place in our body. Even as we stand firm believing the Lord and making this declaration, I believe that healing will begin to manifest. Triumph Of The Cross (Daily Devotional)

Triumph Of The Cross (Daily Devotional)
Hello everyone, such a joy to once again be back as we meditate on the theme of healing. We know that the Lord Jesus has accomplished an exchange for us. He took our sicknesses, our diseases and in exchange, we now have health and wholeness. Today, I want to talk about the fact that the cross of the Lord Jesus, though it may seem like a picture of defeat because in the times when the cross was used as a punishment, it was a symbol of shame. However, we know from the word of God that the cross was really the wisdom of God and that Jesus triumphed on the cross and that the cross for us believers, is a symbol of great victory. What Jesus did on the cross is victory, He accomplished victory over satan. I want to read for us for Colossians chapter 2, verses 14 and 15, ‘having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.’ This is talking about Jesus and Him triumphing on the cross. When He did this, there is a picture that comes through in this verse and that is one of a king who has won victory over his enemies and so in this passage, we saw that Jesus made a public spectacle. In other words, Jesus triumphed over satan in such a way that satan has been thoroughly destroyed and he has been plundered, defeated. For us as believers, this is one thing that we need to have very firm in our hearts and minds, the fact that Jesus has triumphed over satan. We have several other passages that talk about this victory. Hebrews chapter 2, verses 14, once again over there it writes, ‘He destroyed satan, the devil, the one who had the power of death.’ We now, can be assured of the fact that this victory that Jesus has won for us is for us to walk in. So, I just want to remind us, when we think of sickness and disease which exist in the world, we know that it is not from God. This earth was corrupted by sin, right at the time in the garden when disobedience came in and from then, we see all the works of the enemy, several calamities, different things that are taking place. One is that satan comes against people and the other is the earth is now subject to corruption because of sin, but whatever it is, this is the reality that Jesus has conquered satan, sin and death on the cross. As God’s children, we can rejoice in the triumph of the cross and we can resist the devil. So, every time we encounter any form of sickness/ disease, we can stand against it. As the scriptures tell us, resist the devil and he will flee form you. I want to encourage us, God is for us and our bodies, resist the devil, he will flee from us because Jesus has triumphed on the cross. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love and the victory of the cross. Even right now, I speak and declare the victory of the cross over the lives of people. I pray let healing be made manifest, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. Upon Himself (Daily Devotional)

Upon Himself (Daily Devotional)
Hello everyone, welcome. Thank you so much for connecting, it is such a joy to come to you with the word of God. This time around, we will take some time to meditate on the theme of healing and see what God’s word has to say regarding this. If we look at the passage in Isaiah chapter 53, which was a Messianic prophecy about the Lord Jesus and the redemptive work which He would accomplish on the cross of calvary, we see that there are many things that Jesus was to accomplish as Isaiah spoke and particularly when we look at verses 4 and 5, it indicates to us that He did a work of redemption as far as our whole self is concerned. I want to read for us that particular passage, Isaiah chapter 53, verses 4 and 5, it says, ‘Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.’ As we look at these verses, we understand that Jesus accomplished a great exchange for us, as far as our health and wholeness is concerned. When we see those words, in the Hebrew language, grief is the word ‘choli’ which is sickness, disease or malady. We also see the word sorrows in English which is the Greek word ‘makob’ that means pain, sorrow and grief. Even as we consider just these two words, we recognize that this work of wholeness that Jesus did on the cross, not only affected our physical bodies but also our soul. The soul is the seat of our will, emotions, our thinking. So, what we see here is that Jesus did something for the healing of our body as well as our mind. He did something for our body as well as our emotions. What Jesus has done on the cross of Calvary is a complete work of healing for each one of us. He accomplished the divine exchange for us. As we continue to read these scriptures, we also see that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed, that word ‘healed’ there is from the Hebrew word, Rapha and going back to the covenant name of God that He revealed of Himself, Jehovah Rapha; Rapha is healer but it goes with the covenant or the solemn promise that God made to us regarding our healing. We are reminded time and again, even with just these two scriptures that Jesus has made a divine exchange. He has taken upon Himself our sorrows, our sicknesses and He was nailed to the cross and because He has already carried these things for us, we, in exchange can receive of His healing. No wonder, Isaiah said that by His stripes, we are healed. He is Jehovah Rapha who has healed us. Let us just hold on to His promises. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for Jesus and for the divine exchange. We thank you that He has carried our sicknesses so that we can be whole. Even right now, I speak and declare wholeness and health over everyone listening. I command healing to bodies and minds. Thank you for touching each one of us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. I Will Not Be Shaken/ Held By God (Daily Devotional)

I Will Not Be Shaken/ Held By God (Daily Devotional)
Hi everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to spend time in God’s presence and in His word. We’ve come to an end of this week. We’ve been talking about trusting in the Lord through different seasons of our life and today, we will talk about ‘I will not be shaken’. Psalm chapter 62, verse 6, ‘Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.’ Receiving an unexpected prognosis or bad news can be very unsettling. Suddenly all sense of normalcy goes out the window, plans are put on hold and life become about managing one day at a time. This can all happen for all sorts of reasons and we can have this feeling of disorientation, confusion and uncertainty. Those experiences are a normal part of dealing with a crisis. What does the psalmist say here? He says, I will not be shaken. Does that mean he never felt bewilderment with life’s circumstances? No! We see clearly that the psalmist feels like a leaning wall or a tottering fence. He feels hurt and vulnerable and yet he repeats that his rest and hope are in God. We don’t have to cover up our feelings when we are going through tough times. We can be honest about our feelings. At times, David was so overwhelmed by his enemies that he felt as if cords of death entangled him. He felt that his end was near. In response, David called on the only open who could help him. I called to the Lord who is worthy of praise and I have been saved from my enemies. David displayed great courage based on trust in God, His rock and deliverer. David had been taught and he had learnt from experience that the Lord was always present for Him. The song of Psalm chapter 62, gives us a beautiful invitation. Trust in Him at all times, you people, pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. In a mysterious way, being vulnerable and pouring out our hearts opens us to receiving the foundation of God’s loving character in our lives. We may not be able to control what happens in our lives, but we have the invitation to rely on God. No matter what happens, even if we feel as if we have toppled, we will not be shaken. When we know that we depend on God for all good things as David did, we know that calling on God will bring the solution to what we need. This doesn’t mean that we should ignore emergency services or other kinds of help that are available around us. God provides those resources in our communities for the good of everyone, but realizing that we rely on God will help us with our need is a great comfort for us today as the time of David. Let’s be sure to call on God whenever we need any kind of help. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for this beautiful week and for teaching us throughout the week about trust. This is our hearts desire that each one of us will trust in you; trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, for your ways are higher than our ways, your thoughts are higher than ours. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. Trust In God's Timing (Daily Devotional)

Trust In God's Timing (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to spend time in God’s word and a few moments in prayer as well. 1 Samuel chapter 24, verse 6, ‘The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master…for he is the anointed of the LORD.”’ We all want good things to happen in our lives, but too often we want it now and not later. When it doesn’t to happen that way, we are tempted to ask God, when God. God gives us hopes and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives but He doesn’t always allow us to see the exact timing of His plan. The verse we read today, when King Saul failed to obey and honor the Lord, Samuel explained that God would give the kingship to a man after His own heart. That man, David soon entered the ranks of Saul’s army and became a powerful warrior. Saul felt threatened by this, so he launched an effort to pursue David and kill him. David escaped into the wilderness living for years as a fugitive. God also tested David in a way like Saul, giving the young warrior a chance to take a shortcut around God’s leading and timing. While hunting for David, Saul ended up entering the same cave in which David was hiding, but Saul didn’t know David was there. David’s men urged him to kill Saul while he had the chance, but David refused knowing it would be wrong to kill the one who has been anointed by God. He knew that it wouldn’t be right to try to seize the kingship in this way. Eventually, David became the king of Israel but by God’s timing and not his own, that wait was about 14 years. Timing and trust work side by side. The truth is waiting is given, we are going to wait, the question is, are we going to wait the right way or the wrong way? If we wait the wrong way, we may end up miserable, but if we wait the right way, that is God’s way, we become patient and we enjoy the wait. It takes practice but as we let God to help us in each situation, we develop patience which is one of the most important attributes of Christian life. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit; it is developed only under trial so we must not run from difficult situations. Has it ever seemed that God is taking way too long to release you from trouble? Its easy to grow frustrated when we think that God should deliver us more quickly, yet God’s timing is always for our good. The problem isn’t that God is taking too long, the problem is that we can’t see what only God can see. Our waiting shows our trust in Him. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your word and for giving us this opportunity to trust in you. Even as we look at the life of David and many others in your word, you have made them to wait but through those waiting years, you have tested them and approved them. I pray that even some of us maybe waiting, I pray that you will teach us to wait with joy, patience and confidence knowing that you are in control. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen. High Waves/Stilling The Storm (Daily Devotional)

High Waves/Stilling The Storm (Daily Devotional)
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for this opportunity to come together, minister God’s word and pray. This week, we’ve been talking about trusting in God. Mark chapter 4, verses 37 through 40, ‘And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”’ Taking a leisurely boat ride might sound like a good idea in the summer sun but during the ancient times, people viewed the sea as a place of chaos and evil forces. Crossing the water could be dangerous because of poor boat construction and lack of navigation and communication devices. Unexpected storms often led to tragedies. Today, we read about a boat ride that went terribly wrong. A furious squall came out of nowhere and the waves broke the boat and water came swamping in. Imagine how the disciples must have felt in the midst of that furious squall. The disciples, some of whom were experienced fishermen were desperately afraid. I’m sure that life jackets as we know them, didn’t exist. Water is swamping in the boat and yet in the midst of all this chaos and confusion, they saw Jesus was asleep. Jesus was resting. They woke Him up virtually accusing Him of their fate. Jesus woke up, rebuked the storm, commanding it to be silent. The winds ceased and a great calm followed. Then Jesus challenged them to trust in Him. When Jesus gave orders to go on to the other side, He knew the storm was coming. He is omniscient, even with the storm brewing, He decided to launch put into the sea. The Lord never promised that we will never see a storm in our life, rather, He has promised that He will be with us in the storm. He will never leave His children alone in the midst of trouble. With perseverance, they will overcome. When Jesus said, peace, be still, there was a great calm all of a sudden. Normally, after a storm, there is such a flood of water that it takes a while for the storm to settle down. However, when Christ spoke the word, not only did the storm cease, but all the effects of it died, leaving Jesus’s disciples to be marveled. Have there been times in your life, when you faced a storm and it seemed that Jesus didn’t even notice? Were there times you were not sure whether you would survive the storm or maybe you are in the storm right now. Invite Jesus into your storm, trust Him to be with you and He will do what is best. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word and what we have learnt today that through every storm, you are a God who will do miracles. We pray that we will put our trust in you, even when things look like its going bad, help us, enable us to look to you and we know that you will always do what is best for us. Help us to trust in you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
