Slavery and economics:
Mark Thornton has many good, peer reviewed, articles on the topic of slavery and economics that can be easily found with a quick google search in lieu of that here is a good talk he delivered on the subject: https://mises.org/power-market/mark-thornton-economics-slavery
Lost knowledge:
I couldn’t find any sources on the lost knowledge in the field of optometry. I know it’s mentioned in “An Austrian Perspective on the History of Economic Thought” but it’s a dense book and I can’t find it. Until I can find a source we can say statements about this are up in the air on whether they are factual.
