Barbara Blumenthal, born and raised in New York is a second-generation survivor. Both of her parents survived World War II in Warsaw. She is a wife to her husband of 53 years and mother to her three children and four grandchildren. She has master’s degree in speech and language from Columbia University but most of her adult life she has been involved in business; importing products from around the world. In addition, she heads a private foundation that is involved in many Jewish causes. This foundation strives to work directly with people in need; where most of the funds go directly to the causes rather than administration costs.
