Re-Adjusting to "Normal" Life

Normal Human Person

16-06-2022 • 33 min

After two years of lockdowns and anxiety, it seems like it might really be time to return back to the real world, to return to in-person socialization, and I'm realizing it's a lot harder than I thought it would be.
This week I share the experience of attending my first music bingo in years blended in with my first Pub Night since getting sober, which leads me to the journey of remembering how to have a social life and why it's so important for my mind and my body.

This episode discusses

  • The crippling anxiety of getting out of the house, even when you know it's the best thing for you
  • Why now more than ever boundaries need to be set with our phones, but also why that's easier said than done.
  • The fact that it's perfectly normal if you're struggling with this new adjustment of socializing and going out into the world, especially if the pandemic resulted in the loss of relationships.
