Big Bay Mornings is a weekday radio show on San Francisco station 99.7 NOW. The podcast pares the four-hour show down to one hour, removing music and commercials. It provides a way for loyal listeners to stay up-to-date. Hosts Bennie Siegal and Greg Sherrell spend every morning bantering and having a good time on air. The hosts discuss local news, share anecdotes, answer listeners questions, and joke around.
The hosts of Big Bay Mornings are veteran radio personalities. Siegal began his career when he was only 16 with a radio internship in San Francisco. He moved up the ranks and started his on-air journey in his teens. His career took him from San Diego to Sacramento and back to San Francisco in 2010. That year, he rejoined the morning show as imaging and creative director. Siegal returned to the air as the morning show's cohost in 2019.
Sherrell also has an epic love affair with radio. He worked in marketing for a decade for several stations in Texas. His first appearance on 99.7 NOW was in 2005 as a caller to his friend's morning show. It went so well that Sherrell went to San Francisco three weeks later to claim the cohost seat. The host has been a part of the morning show ever since.
Siegal and Sherrell have great chemistry on Big Bay Mornings. They often share stories from their lives that make each other laugh so hard that they struggle to breathe. Apart from their charming banter, the podcast features a few recurring segments. In "Dirty on the 30," the hosts discuss current events in the Bay Area, including politics and crime. There's also a section where they offer advice to listeners who write in. They talk about careers, relationships, and more. There's also the "Love Trap" segment. People who fear their partner is cheating on them call in. Then the hosts call the partner, tricking them to confess.
Big Bay Mornings releases a new podcast episode each weekday.
