Fear has many disguises; procrastination, perfectionism, control, busyness. In all cases, we are telling our dreams to sit in the back seat and shut up. As we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. let's remember that dreams are what changes the world.

  1. Take some time to get reacquainted with your dreams. How are they signals of your passion and purpose? Understand that they are not fantasies, but clues leading you forward.
  2. Think about why you have suppressed taking action on your dreams. What fears are behind the abandonment? What's motivating you to make other things a priority instead?
  3. Decide to take action no matter what, even when your dreams seem like they have no connection to your higher purpose.
  4. There's lots of things we put in the too hard basket, but dreams should never be one of them.
