The cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has responded to the rumors surrounding Doctor Doom in the new Marvel Studios movie.
During their appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live TV show, actresses Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright and Lupita Nyong'o talked a little about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and were asked about the presence of the ruler of Latveria.
When Kimmel hinted that Doctor Doom might be in the movie, they quickly backed off. “I want to see the movie you were told,” joked Gurira. “We need to do this. I hope the right people are watching.”
The actresses seemed determined not to leak any
information, and Kimmel even teased that Doctor Doom would be played by Adam Sandler.
Fans will be able to see if Doctor Doom is really in the movie when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 10th.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated for November 10 in Brazil, with Ryan Coogler directing.
In Black Panther: Forever Wakanda, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M'Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from the intervening powers of the world after the death of King T'Challa. As the Wakandans struggle to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) to forge a new path to the Kingdom of Wakanda.
In addition to introducing Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) as Namor, king of a secret undersea nation,
the film also stars Dominique Thorne (Judas and the Black Messiah) as Ironheart, and Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You) as Aneka.
What is the story about?
In the comics, T'Challa was already replaced as Black Panther by his sister, Shuri, when he was attacked in Wakanda. This event was caused by Namor, who will also appear in the film. In the comics, Shuri becomes Black Panther and receives training at the hands of Wolverine and other
heroes. However, T'Challa recovers and returns to action.
Because of the encounters of the Illuminati, who seek to fight the incursions that would lead to the Secret Wars, T'Challa is seen alongside Namor and Shuri and the Dora Milaje turn their backs on the hero. At this time, T'Challa was the King of the Necropolis, the city of the dead, and Shuri becomes the ruler of Wakanda.
It is possible that some of these events will be used and adapted for the big screen.
