Steve McGown, the longest-held Al Aqaeda captive in the world, joined us recently on One Grate Conversation.
As you can imagine his whole world changed through his 6 year-long exposure to the militant group that held him captive in the most hostile environment in the world, the Sahara Desert, and we had the privilege of hearing his experiences firsthand.
We were curious about how we could turn adversity into opportunities for growth and not fall into the victim mentality that creates roadblocks to our potential. It was inspiring and mindblowing to hear such a unique story that I wouldn’t otherwise have been exposed to in my day-to-day life and surely impacted me deeply that I definitely see the world a little differently now.
I hope you get as much from it as I did if not more.
